This video contains several clips of Mary and Mark
performing live in L.A. clubs
Mary has been singing and playing music since she was a little girl. She gave up the Magnus Chord Organ for guitar (thank God). Mark is from St. Louis. He's been singing and playing the guitar since he was 10 years old. In 2003 he was born again "Blues".
MARK KING BAND - Act One

Mark and Mary met on the internet but things really got serious when Mary sent Mark a recording of herself playing guitar and singing. Needless to say, Mark was blown away. He quickly closed down operations in St. Louis and moved to L.A. to work on music with her. The two of them began rehearsing day and night, building out a set list of popular blues and classic rock tunes. Their accompaniment is digital recordings of real drums and bass by some of L.A.'s finest session players.

This act is perfect for restaurants, hotel lounges and smaller club venues. These two performers are mature, fun and tight. Their voices and their guitar playing dovetail together like a fine piece of furniture. The sound is full and rich but never "too loud" or annoying. Mary adds "We even played a biker bar out in Lancaster, they were really nice and loved our sound".

The Mark King Band is accepting bookings now. With well over four hours of material at their disposal this group can play for over an hour "Unplugged". Their electric sets feature classic blues, funk, soul and rock favorites from the 60's, 70's, 80's, and 90's. The group has their own Bose and JBL sound equipment.

Act Two

Act Two is now officially in the works. Mary and Mark are auditioning drummers and bass players for their next musical production which will be a full live band. "We're not in a hurry" Mark explains. "We love what we're doing now and want to find a couple of players who fit in with us like family members. We're writing new original music that comes from our hearts so finding a couple of musicians that we feel resonance with is the most important thing to us." Doing her best Monty Python voice, Mary chimes in "We're looking for a couple of people to join us on our quest, we seek the Grail".

"Destroy The Night" is one of the bands new songs. You can hear an early rough mix of this song on the MUSIC page of this web site. Other new songs currently in the works include "The Best Is Yet To Come", "Metal Monday" and "Heaven Is Meant For Two" (mixes coming soon).
